Brecken's preschool went on a field trip on Tuesday to Remlinger Farms. It was a chilly day but everyone had a great time. These pictures are one's that the teacher had on her camera. I have more and will post once I get them downloaded. We got to sing with a farmer, see the garden, go through the petting zoo, go through a hay maze, see the bees and talk to the beekeeper and the highlight of the day...RIDE A TRAIN!!! All of the kids were so excited. At the end of our time, each kid got to pick a pumpkin. After all of the excitement we had a picnic lunch on the grass before returning to preschool where all of the kids napped. It was a fun day for both myself and B.

Funny Videos
One of these videos is of course the required funny "duck" word. Brecken thought I was taking his picture so in between his version of "duck", he kept saying cheese.
The other video is of me, yes driving, videoing him saying his name. He wouldn't say "Brecken" for so long he would just say "me". So, now he thinks his name is "Brecken Me", not "Brecken Lee".
Love this kid!!!

Summer 2012
This has been a fun and crazy summer. I cannot believe we are already in September and once again I have fallen far far behind on blogging.
The highlights of this summer:
1. Entire "Smith" family reunites in Lake Chelan for fun filled family weekend and going away party for the Johnsons.
2. Hungry Horse, MT - Baker side of the family wedding. We stayed in a great house and even hit up a waterslide park with the kids. Everyone had a blast.
3. Evergreen State Fair - who knew, Brecken loves rides. He went on all of the rides he was tall enough for, including the roller coaster.
4. Thomas the Train - Brecken, mom, dad and the grandparents had a fun afternoon of riding Thomas the Train and meeting Sir Topham Hatt in Snoqualmie.
5. Brecken and Daddy went to the circus with his buddies Jon, Peyton, Hudson, Bob and Colton.
6. Fourth of July camping at Birch Bay with the Jones, Smiths, Turcotts, and Hanculaks.
7. Brecken moving up in his preschool from the 2's class to the 3/4's class
8. Hiking
9. Watching the Blue Angels from a boat.
10. And of course, lots of fun playing with friends.

Catch up..why can't I remember to blog regularly
We are making some slow strides on the potty training. We haven't gone full on yet, but he has gone potty on the toilet at preschool a few times and doesn't mind sitting on the potty at home anymore. He just not yet done anything while sitting there. This summer, potty training is on!
We transitioned B into a big kid bed. This was his reaction when he saw his car themed bed. He has been great since the transition. B has always been a sleeper but we were a bit worried he would get up and come out of his room all the time since he wasn't confined in his crib. He has not left his room without permission yet. He has a few times though knocked on his door from the inside and said "hello hello" because he wanted out. He is a great kiddo.
We had a nice day today and the ice cream truck came through the neighborhood. I remember the "Jolly Joe" truck as a kid so Steve and I rushed B outside and this was the ice cream bar he chose. He is pretty stoked about his Sponge Bob Square Pants popsicle. He got to have 3 licks and then we put it in the freezer for him to lick off of for the next while.
Bubbles are awesome! We brought out the bubble machine today and B would have chased the bubbles for hours had we let him. This is going to be a summertime funtime toy. Now if the weather would cooperate we could put the pool out and the bubbles on and life would be great.
Brecken has been loving preschool. He will start 3 days a week in July. His talking has really improved. He is saying sentences and really experimenting with his speaking. Steve and I are constantly cracking up by what he says, or what we think he is saying. :) He still gives the best hugs and kisses. Snuggle time with B is the best.

Mother's Day 2012
We had beautiful weather on Mother's Day. We took to the roads on our bikes and road to our crossfit gym, did a Mother's Day partner WOD, which Brecken helped with, and then rode home along the lake. We of course finished it off by going to the new frozen yogurt store. It was fantastic. Nutter butter and chocolate frozen yogurt is hard to beat! Steve and Brecken spoiled me the whole weekend. I am a lucky wife and mama.
Sesame Street Madness
Aunt Shelley got us tickets to Sesame Street Live and Brecken could not have been more surprised and thrilled to see all of his favorite characters, especially ELMO! The show was upbeat and a total hit with the kids. Thank you Aunt Shelley. What a fun day.
Hey Big Bird!
With Yaya and Beppe.
B loves the ladies..."hello Zoe!"
This was Brecken's face when Elmo came out on Stage. He could NOT believe his idol was dancing and singing right in front of him.

Just a little weekend cutie...
Two really cute things this weekend (yep, I am using this as a pseudo baby book as well) so here we go:
Brecken has decided that he needs to feed Jager treats, lots and lots of treats. I think we may actually need to move Jagers treats to a higher shelf in the pantry. He goes and grabs a bag, gives him a treat and when we tell him to put the treat bag back, he comes out of the pantry with a different bag of treats. Jager is loving it!
I asked Brecken this afternoon if he wanted to sing the ABC song. Usually he just does ABC and then we do the rest together. Today he went all the way to F with out any help. Of course now that I am trying to get it on video my wonderfully stubborn little boy won't even give me an A! Love this kid :).

Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease...WHAT?!
Say hello to our first preschool disease, Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease.
Even Brecken wasn't thrilled about this look.
Jager was such a good big doggie brother he got ice cream as a treat.
Well, yes, Steve and I freaked out when B came down with this lovely mess all over his face. Poor kid. He was a trooper through the whole thing. He got these sores on his face, in his mouth and all over his lower body. We said "no, don't touch your face" so many times he started pointing to his ching saying, "no mama, no dada, no touching". The preschool had a lovely outbreak of this fun childhood disease. Luckily the doctor told me this was completely normal....she may have been able to tell I was about to come out of my skin with worry. He is healing nicely and should hopefully be all cleared up in the next few days.
Next blog...pictures from our trip to Maui (the week before this loveliness showed up).
Brecken Goes to Preschool
Brecken's first day of Preschool, Feb. 7th 2012
We can't believe it, our little boy has started 2 day a week preschool. He is going on Tuesday and Thursdays and seems to be loving it. His teachers, Miss Tori and Miss Shannon are so sweet and he took right to them. Lots of tears from mommy those first few days but he loves it so I have cheered up. He is talking so much more and has definitely figured out his "2's". We have been very fortunate that his tantrums are very minor and we really have our happy little boy still. So proud of him.
New Years!!
We had a fun New Years party at our house this year. We did a Kinect Dance Party and even the kids got in on it. There was a shiny gold trophy up for grabs....and I won it from last years champion Noelle. I can't find my pictures of this night but it was a great time with the kids and after the kids went to bed. We were even surprised by a huge fireworks celebration by one of our neighbors. Great way to ring in the New Year!
I will add pictures later.....

Christmas 2011
As a Smith family tradition, my dad used to read us "Twas the Night Before Christmas before we went to bed on Christmas Eve. Steve has now read this to Brecken each year and will continue to do so. It is so fun to watch.
Steve (with a little of my help) spent 3 hours on Christmas Eve putting together Brecken's train table. It was a lot more complex than we had thought. Once it was done, it really is quite cool and Brecken was so surprised and loves to play his "choo choo's". We have video of him coming down the stairs and seeing his table for the first time. Such a fun day Christmas was for us.
Big Dog in a little dog bed!!! We tried to get Jager a smaller dog bed but clearly went a bit extreme on the smaller size! It was entertaining watching him try to get comfortable in it. We had gotten a few different sizes so luckily he has a new dog bed that he loves and fits in.

B was so excited Christmas morning.

Brecken loved opening ALL of the presents!
Yeah Presents
More Presents!!!
We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with Beppe and Papa and Aunt Shelley. Brecken was so spoiled by everyone. It is amazing how much he understands compared to last year. We can't wait until next year. It is just so much fun to celebrate the holidays through a childs eye. Decorations and lights take on a whole new meaning. B still asks for lights sometimes. I guess it is good that some people don't take them down for a long time after Christmas. :)

Christmas Ships and Santa
Hello Santa's Workshop!!!
We spent a fun filled evening in Seattle with Brecken's buddy Colton and little Cha Cha. We went to a sushi dinner, where B at least tried some of the food! Then, we took the kids to see Santa. They all did a great job. No tears and lots of smiles for Santa and all of the window watchers outside. It was a great time.
We took Brecken to the Christmas ships with lots of friends. We had a great time seeing all of the lighted ships go by and singing to the music. Breckens favorite Christmas song is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. This kid had a lot of the song down. He knew when to add his little ad libs in. We had so much fun getting ready for Christmas with him. The lights on all of the houses really made all car rides fun. He just kep asking for "more"!!! I think it was a bit of a let down when the Christmas lights started coming down, but of course you can always count on some houses to keep them up for a long time. It is difficult to explain to him when he wants "more" and I have to tell him he has to wait until next Christmas.
Thanksgiving 2011
Brecken loved Thanksgiving food this year. We did something a little different, we did a Thanksgiving breakfast. We still had most of the classic Thanksgiving food, but we did turkey/egg/bacon breakfast sandwiches. Clearly he is digging it!
Yaya, Beppe, Papa, and Aunt Shelley came over to enjoy the holiday and yummy food. The best part for all of the adults is that it is over by early afternoon and you really have the rest of the day to relax. I think we will be doing Thanksgiving Breakfast again.
California Part 2
Our second part of the California trip was to LA to visit Aunt Stephie, Uncle Dave, Katerina, Peyton and Lily. Dave so kindly took me to the Breaking Dawn LA premiere. I got to watch the movie with the stars and go to the premiere after party. It was a Hollywood Junkies dream come true...plus I love Twilight. If you have seen the movie, a bit uncomfortable to watch with your brother in law but we had a great time.
Stars I saw: Heather Locklear, Damon Wayans, Mike Chiklis, Ashley Tisdale, Danica Patrick, Seth Green, Case of Revenge, Cast of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Cast of Pretty Little Liars, Cast of Twilight...so many more!
Stars I met: Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Bruno Mars
While I was having a mommy's night out, Brecken and Steve were at home hanging with the cousins and Aunt Stephie. He just loved hanging out with these girls and they were so good and patient with him. He gave lots of hugs and squeezes.
Steve and I even had a surprise date night out in LA. Our friends Sam and Kent surprised us with tickets to Cirque De Soleil. It was SO GOOD. The people are so freaking strong and make their bodies do amazing things. So fun to watch.
The trip was great. We miss our LA family.
